Citroën’s popular MPV models, C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Spacetourer, have jointly won the ‘Best Medium MPV’ award in DieselCar & EcoCar Magazine’s ‘Top 50’ for 2018. This year’s top honour makes it three Best Medium MPV wins in a row for the family friendly C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Picasso. 

Citroën’s popular MPV models, C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Spacetourer, have jointly won the ‘Best Medium MPV’ award in DieselCar & EcoCar Magazine’s ‘Top 50’ for 2018. This year’s top honour makes it three Best Medium MPV wins in a row for the family friendly C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Picasso. The C4 Cactus also made it comfortably onto the list, ranking as one of the 50 most capable new cars on sale in the UK today.

Citroën has been recognised in DieselCar & EcoCar Magazine’s ‘Top 50’ list of new cars for 2018, with the C4 Picasso and Grand C4 Picasso picking up the ‘Best Medium MPV’ title for a third successive year. The models were praised for their practicality, modern styling and technology. Citroën’s C4 Cactus also secured a coveted place in the ranking, securing 28thplace overall.

DieselCar & EcoCar Magazine’s Top 50 is a list of the best and most capable cars currently on sale in the UK. The DieselCar & EcoCar team of well-respected writers tested more than 175 new cars over the course of 12 months in real-world conditions. The category winners were selected using a robust and comprehensive road test scoring system, to ensure that the title holders really are the best cars in each segment.

Citroën Grand C4 SpaceTourer has continued the winning streak of its predecessor the Grand C4 Picasso, beating established rivals to the Best MPV Award in the 2018 Business Car Awards. The panel of Fleet sector judges made their decisions based entirely on whole life costs.

The Citroën Grand C4 SpaceTourer has won its first award since replacing the Grand C4 Picasso earlier this year, taking the Best MPV Award at the Business Car Awards last night. Business Car judged all short-listed entries solely on whole-life costs and the winner was determined by an experienced judging panel drawn from experts in the fleet sector. The awards ceremony was staged at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in west London, overlooking Hyde Park and the Serpentine.

The Grand C4 SpaceTourer saw off short-listed rivals from Kia, Renault and Volkswagen and continues the winning ways established by its predecessor, the Citroën Grand C4 Picasso, which won the Best MPV Award in the 2017 Business Car Awards. In fact, Grand C4 Picasso notched up its 21st award in May when it won the Best Medium MPV Award jointly with the C4 Picasso in the Diesel Car and EcoCar Magazine’s Top 50 for 2018.

Commenting on the Award, Business Car Features Editor Rachel Boagey said, "The 'Best MPV’ category in the 2018 BusinessCar Awards was filled with strong contenders, but we’re very pleased to announce that the Citroën Grand C4 SpaceTourer came away with the prestigious award. Our independent panel of expert judges noted that despite the falling demand for MPVs, the Grand C4 SpaceTourer remains one of the best practical family car choices on the market today, therefore securing its place as a worthy winner.” 

Collecting the Award on behalf of Citroën, Nigel Ward, Head of Corporate Sales – South for the PSA Group said, “Grand C4 SpaceTourer has set the benchmark in the medium seven-seat MPV sector with its combination of low whole-life costs, family-friendly design and practical features. The family-friendly features also make it an excellent business car, offering spacious accommodation for occupants as well as commodious and flexible luggage space. The choice of low-emission petrol and diesel engines, with CO2 emissions from 100g/km just add more to its business appeal. It’s great news that Citroën’s flagship MPV has won the Business Car judges round for the second year in succession.”
