Citroen was the first to introduce the hydro pneumatic suspension in 1954 on the Traction Avant model and later implement the usage of this system on their Citroen DS in 1955. This legendary innovation was later introduced on the other models namely the GS, CX, BX, XM, Xantia, C5 & C6.
